      Courtney Tripp is an active member of the dressage world in all aspects of her life. At Pistakee Bay, Courtney is the manager and year-round trainer. She is now accepting student from beginners through Fourth Level. Week days, Courtney is the program coordinator for the Tempel Lipizzan Corporation. At Tempel, she promotes and organizes the summer performances and the annual dressage competition. Courtney is also serving as Secretary to the IDCTA Executive Board. Prior to returning home to northern Illinois, Courtney honed her skills as a horsewoman by becoming a working student at two intensive, international-caliber dressage programs.
      After graduating from the University of Missouri 's Journalism School in 2003, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked for Holmberg and Wadeborn Dressage (www.hwdressage.com). During her time there, she competed client horses through Third level. Both Lars Holmberg and Ulf Wadeborn are graduates of Sweden's prestigious Strömsholm, the Swedish national school for horse trainers. They arranged for weekly theory lessons to teach Courtney the philosophy and training regimens they had learned there. After her year in California , Ulf arranged for Courtney to train with Maria Borg, a Grand Prix horse educator in Sweden. 
      During her time at Maria's, Courtney oversaw the upkeep of a six-stall stable and traveled with Maria to top national competitions and exclusive clinics at Flyinge with Jonny Hilberath of Germany. Maria furthered Courtney's knowledge and horse skills by teaching her to long rein and entrusting her to ride and train the young horses in her absence. In April 2005, Courtney returned to Entropy where her dressage trainer of more than 10 years, Laurie Hedlund, helped her to become a professional dressage trainer. After Laurie's relocation to Oklahoma, Courtney established Cadence Dressage. Over the years, she has worked with clinicians Alf Athenstaedt, Dennis Callin, Charles DeKunffy, Michelle Gibson and most recently, Conrad Schumacher.
